I am more than blessed to be the Pastor of Wesley UMC since June 2014. I’ve been blessed to be a Pastor with 22 years of service and an Ordained Elder since 1998. I have a variety of ministry experiences which include being the Bishop Assistant of Former Bishop of the Methodist Church of Puerto Rico, Rev. Dr. Juan A. Vera from 2001-2004. I was also a Missionary in Central and South America in the years 1987-1988. I have a passion for Discipleship that transforms lives, and for Missions both local and International that enhances the quality of life of those in need. I shared my home with my beloved husband Angel, who is the Associate Pastor for Hispanic Ministries at Spirit and Life UMC in Woodbridge and with our happy cat Angie. Angel and I love to sing a joyful noise to the Lord and love to travel around beautiful Virginia and other places as well.
I’m originally from Texas but have been living in the Northern Virginia area for the past ten years. I’ve been teaching at Wesley Preschool and Kindergarten since 2010 and have fallen in love with the community. I studied Early Childhood Education at NoVa and am continuing to study and learn each day. Since 1967 we have served the families of the local community with a quality first learning experience while teaching Christian values as part of that experience. We welcome all with open arms and hearts to our small, quaint, diverse, and full of love preschool /part-time Kindergarten.
