Send A Prayer Request Directly to Rev. Janet Salbert

O God, you are so good, You go out ahead of us to make a way through any challenge and you are with us in every joy. Inspire our hearts to be faithful in every circumstance and to reach out to those who have no hope. May our love for you grow each day that our lives bear fruit for the world. Amen  Pastor Janet Salbert

The Upper Room Living Prayer Center

When we grow in a relationship with others, we ask questions, we listen and we share our stories. Prayer is conversation with God. Prayer is how we attend to God's presence in our lives. A regular practice of prayer means that we are invested in an ongoing relationship with God. With God, we can be nothing but ourselves, there is no pretense, no hiding from God. Both our deepest desires to love and our tendency toward sin are exposed to God. In fact, sometimes prayer helps us to learn what God already knows. We experience God's love and forgiveness through times of prayer and devotion.

Both corporate and individual prayer helps us to grow in faith. Jesus taught his disciples to go to a solitary place to pray. We can set an intention for our time in prayer in a variety of ways: to rest in God's love, to intercede for the needs of others, to ask forgiveness and to seek guidance. Prayer strengthens our faith by the power of the Holy Spirit. May you be richly blessed in your relationship with Christ as you grow in prayer.
